Flavia is an outgoing girl who loves to be sociable. In school, she enjoys learning new things in every class, but especially likes to learn about health. In her free time, Flavia can be found on the swings or riding her bike. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher and educate her community.
Flavia is no stranger to hardship. Her parents had already struggled to care for her, but when her mother was diagnosed with HIV, Flavia had to move in with their grandmother. She tries her best to provide for the family, but her age makes it hard to earn steady income.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
