Marriam is a hardworking girl with a determined personality. She loves going to school, especially when she gets to read and write in her English class. When she’s done with classes, she can usually be found playing netball with her friends. With a passion for clothes, Marriam wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up.
Sadly, Marriam is no stranger to hardship. Her father died when she was very young, leaving her mother to care for her on her own. She sells food to make a living, but her wages are small and unstable. As a result, Marriam often goes without her daily needs.

How Sponsorship Works
Choose a child to sponsor from the country of your choice
Receive your welcome packet in the mail with more info on your child
Continue giving monthly or annually to meet your child's needs and write letters to stay in touch

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
