El Salvador is the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America. Unfortunately, it also has the world’s highest homicide rate. Although gang activity has decreased recently, many people still live in fear of violence.
Civilians also live in fear of starvation. Few job opportunities leave parents struggling to provide their children with essentials like nutritious food, clean water, medical care, and more. Since 2018, World Help has partnered with a local El Salvador organization to equip individuals in vulnerable communities to escape poverty through self-sustaining programs.
