Hungary currently hosts 50,000 refugees who’ve escaped the ongoing war in Ukraine. Those fleeing their homes often arrive in the country only with what they could carry. To make matters worse, language barriers make finding employment, earning an education, and finding basic services difficult.
Without a source of income, affording essentials like food, clean water, and clothing is nearly impossible for refugees. That’s why most Ukrainian refugees rely entirely on humanitarian assistance to survive … but there’s never enough to go around, especially during the frigid winter months.
