Malawi is a deeply impoverished country located in southern Africa. More than half of the population lives below the poverty line. Many families struggle daily with limited access to clean water, nutritious food, and adequate medical care. The country also continues to grapple with the long-term effects of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, with over 5 percent of the population infected.
