Located in East Africa, Uganda is still recovering from the atrocities inflicted by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). This cult-like autocracy massacred tens of thousands of civilians and displaced more than 1.5 million Ugandans over two decades.
Many rural communities struggle daily with limited access to clean water, nutritious food, and adequate medical care. Additional challenges caused by inadequate infrastructure and political corruption keep the country from moving forward. Many Ugandans are also still reeling from the HIV/AIDS pandemic, where millions were infected and even more children were orphaned.
World Help is working to meet critical needs in Uganda by providing educational assistance, vocational training, food, clean water, and more to people in need.
