I’m in northern Haiti today with the World Help team visiting Danita’s Children—one of our partners in Child Sponsorship and Baby Rescue.
This morning, as I walked through the streets, I saw evidence of spiritual darkness and poverty everywhere. My heart grew heavy over the pain and suffering I witnessed.
It would have been easy to give in to despair.
But the hope, resilience, and sense of purpose I’ve seen in the eyes of the staff, nurses, and sponsored children at Danita’s Children has reminded me that God is at work in Haiti and the support you are giving here is truly changing lives.

Four-year-old Mikerbie and his family first learned about Danita’s Children when his sister became extremely sick. Although the Rescue Center doctors did everything they could to save her, Mikerbie’s sister didn’t make it.
However, through this tragedy, hope was found. Today, Mikerbie’s mother works with other sick children at the Rescue Center, and Mikerbie attends school and receives food and medical care through sponsorship.
What an incredible story! I am constantly amazed at how God can bring good out of even the most tragic circumstances.

Yesterday, I met an amazing young man named André whose life has been changed through sponsorship. I don’t think I will ever forget my conversation with him.
As he was saying goodbye to me, he said, “I want to be a world changer just like my mother (Mama Danita), just like you, and just like the others who have invested in me. One day, you’ll see the fruit of all your love.”
I pray those words will mean to you what they meant to me. Just like André reminded me, one day you, too, will see the fruit of your love, prayers, and investment in your sponsored child.
