South Sudan refugee crisis

South Sudan refugee crisis
The people of South Sudan are facing the world’s fastest growing refugee crisis.
Political fighting and tribal warfare have spread across the nation in a wave of terror. The conflict has plunged the young nation’s economy into a state of emergency, and recent drought and famine have made matters worse.
More than 1.2 million people have fled the country, and most are now living in refugee camps in northern Uganda. But Uganda is ill-equipped to handle this influx.
Refugees receive a plot of land on which to build a hut and start a garden. But without money to buy seeds, they have no food to eat. Their only rations are a small bag of flour once a month. Malnutrition is a growing problem, and it’s the children who suffer most.
But for just $20, you can provide one refugee with essential supplies — food, clean water, blankets, and hygiene items — for an entire month.
· $20 provides one refugee with emergency supplies for one month
· $100 provides an entire refugee family with supplies for one month
