The Village Of El Chucte Needs Your Help Now More Than Ever

Learn More

ChristLife Community Church has committed to help this remote village and would love your help.

El Chucte is a community with 260 people and their village needs an improved water system, repairs to their existing school building and the addition of a bathroom and playground to the school grounds. They also need a new church building.

Clean Water Project

The current source of water available is from a small mountain spring. This spring does not produce enough water to supply all the families in the community with water. In the dry season, it is scarce due to drought.

Due to the mountainous location it is impossible to drill a well deep enough to produce water.

The solution will be to pipe water from a new spring more than two miles from the village. They will lay pipes to direct the water to a new holding tank to store water. The water will then be piped to the families in the village.

The cost for this project will be $25,000. Hope of Life will recruit the men in the village to do the work to bring water to their families. They will be happy to have a part in this project which will benefit the village for many years.

Repairs to the school

The school in the village needs many repairs to make it a safe and secure place for learning. The repairs will include Repairs to the electrical system, roof replacement for one of the classrooms, a perimeter fence, advanced electricity for a computer system, repairs to the kitchen and replacement of broken windows. It will also include 25 new desks and chairs.

The cost for the school repairs is $30,000.

The school could also use new bathrooms which would be $6,000.
And a Playground which would be $6,500.

New Church Building

This will be the final project in the village. There currently is no evangelical church in El Chucte. But there are some people in the village that want a new church. There is currently a pastor from a nearby village who comes once a week to preach in the village and he is willing to pastor the church when it is established. This will be a new church plant.

The cost of the church building will be $32,500.
