Hurricane Maria followed closely on the heels of Hurricane Irma — both among the most ferocious Atlantic hurricanes in recorded history — causing indescribable damage and leaving those in its path to pick up the pieces.

Houses, businesses, and schools collapsed, taking away people’s livelihoods along with their shelter and worldly possessions. Few resources are available, making the rebuilding effort daunting. As usual, the poorest residents of Puerto Rico and other affected areas were most vulnerable to the storm and its aftermath. So many have lost everything, and the need is urgent — they need your help now!

We cannot ignore the human suffering caused by these storms. You have the opportunity today to remind them that God is with them and to demonstrate the love of Christ with our giving.

About World Help

World Help is a Christian humanitarian organization serving the physical and spiritual needs of people in impoverished communities around the world. Our goal is to provide help for today and hope for tomorrow through humanitarian aid and by sharing the Gospel. We are committed to helping those in need — in times of crisis as well as for the long term.

Urgently needed: food and water

The real need right now is food and safe drinking water. Key agricultural crops have been damaged along with stored food supplies. With the local utility infrastructure in ruins, there is no electricity, communications system, access to clean water or basic sanitation. Given the extent of the damage, experts say it could take months — or longer — to rebuild.

In the meantime, Puerto Rico’s population of 3.4 million residents is struggling to cope with the most basic tasks of modern life. Many are starting to lose hope.

Our partners are distributing food, water and other emergency supplies to residents in the worst affected areas. But the scale of the devastation is unprecedented as is the need for humanitarian aid.

You can bring help and hope to people who are in dire need. Please give now!

For just $50, you can send emergency food, water and other lifesaving supplies to the people most affected by Hurricanes Maria and Irma.
