India: People are dying while waiting for a hospital bed

Imagine you find out you have an advanced case of the coronavirus. You travel from hospital to hospital, looking for help … but every bed is full. Four days later, you breathe your last.

That’s exactly what happened to one of our India partner’s dear friends, and it’s what’s happening all across India amid this second deadly wave of the pandemic.

People are dying while waiting for hospital beds. But YOU can help them survive. Your gift will help provide oxygen machines and other supplies to keep them alive until a hospital bed opens up. You’ll also provide other help and hope all around the globe. In fact, every $12 is enough to impact one person.

Listen as our partner in India describes why your help is so urgently needed.

“The food problem is there always,” our India partner said. “But at least people can survive 40 days without food.” They can only survive a few moments without oxygen.

These are the two greatest needs for people in India right now: oxygen and food.

Because of the extreme lockdowns in many states around India, people are out of work. Families who live paycheck-to-paycheck ran out of money for food weeks ago.

And if food is hard to afford, then paying for what little medical care is available is almost impossible.

All across India, people are begging for your help and your prayers.

“Pray that we can provide food to [people living in the slums] and also help with the oxygen concentrators,” our partner said.

Only God knows when this pandemic will end, but you can pray and you can help in the meantime. You can help ease the suffering of people around the world who are struggling, and you can help them survive while they wait.
