It’s time for another Children of the World choir tour

It’s August, and you know what that means — the start of another great year with the Children of the World International Children’s Choir.

The new choir members are here from Uganda, Nepal, and the Philippines, and they are getting ready for this year’s tour! Every year, the choir travels around the country sharing the importance of child sponsorship at churches and schools. These 15 kids are ready to begin the adventure of a lifetime … and they’re ready to meet you!

An adventure that transforms lives

From the moment they arrived, the kids have been discovering a shared love of singing. “Right now, the kids are just really excited to learn the new songs and dances,” according to Jessica, who leads the team along with her husband. “Most of the kids met for the first time over dinner yesterday and they immediately began to bond over singing the same songs.”

For the past 19 years, the Children of the World choir has been traveling and sharing about how sponsorship rescues children from poverty. The message of help and hope that these kids present has transformed the lives of children around the globe … as well as the churches they visit. One pastor even called the tour a “genuine shot in the arm” for his ministry.

If you are looking for a way to engage your family, your friends, or your congregation in what God is doing around the world, attending a Children of the World event is a great way to start.

You can click here to see when the kids will be in a city near you … or book the choir to visit your own church, school, or organization

Each of the kids you will meet on the tour has been greatly impacted by the gift of child sponsorship. Their sponsors are helping them break the cycle of poverty and pursue a life of following Jesus. We’ve seen choir members return home and grow up to become pastors, teachers, and so much more.

But many of the children back home in Uganda, Nepal, or in other countries don’t have the hope that sponsorship provides. The choir members want to introduce you to these children — and show you how you can make a lasting impact.

Meet some of the children from this year’s choir:

Nepal

This year, the choir has six children from Nepal. During the concert, you’ll be able to meet Kripa, Madhu, Manish, Passang, Sudip, and Wang and hear more about their lives.

“I love to sing, and the choir songs are very nice,” Passang said. “My favorite song is ‘Salvation is Here.’”

Uganda

Joining the kids from Nepal are five girls and boys from Uganda. Their names are Ashraf, Grace Deborah, Henry, Josephine, and Rebecca, and they can’t wait to meet you!

Philippines

Aleina, John, Karen, and Mark from the Philippines are rounding out the choir for the 2019-2020 tour. They are looking forward to learning new songs and dances to share with audiences across the country.

“I’m excited to sing and dance,” said Aleina.

Don’t miss out!

Last year, the choir traveled more than 25,000 miles, stopping in 30 different states, and this year will be no different. They are already booked to travel to churches and schools in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, New York, California, and many other states.

“I’m so excited about the concerts,” said Innocent, one of the team’s chaperones from Uganda. We’re excited too, and we hope you are as well.

If you want to make sure you don’t miss them, be sure to ask your pastor to schedule the choir. It will be a global worship experience that you will never forget!
