Offer peace and safety on the anniversary of 9/11

Tomorrow is 9/11, a day none of us will ever forget.

Even 20 years later, those of us old enough to remember know exactly where they were that day. Many of you may have watched the twin towers in New York City fall live on the news. You remember the attack on the Pentagon and hearing about Flight 93 crash in Pennsylvania.

For most of us Americans, “the Taliban” is linked to that terrible day.

The Taliban offered sanctuary to the terrorist group — al-Qaeda — days after they murdered 3,000 people.

Now with the Taliban back in power in Afghanistan, many Americans fear the progress that has happened in the last 20 years will be reversed. But many families currently living under Taliban rule are also desperately afraid.

Millions of Afghans have fled their homes with nothing more than a few belongings in a suitcase. With borders closing around them and the airports now under the Taliban’s control, they have nowhere to turn.

So, as we approach the anniversary of 9/11, please remember families who are terrified — like our nation was 20 years ago. You can offer peace and safety to a displaced person by meeting his or her immediate needs.

Every $35 you give will provide a week’s worth of emergency food and clean water to one displaced person in Afghanistan or another high-conflict area.

Right now, these displaced families are living outside without shelter, or they’re huddled together with hundreds in the same small building. They have no food, little water, and they have so much fear for the future.

You can help by giving today. You’ll provide essentials like food, clean water, medical care, tarps, blankets, baby essentials, and so much more.

So, will you provide peace and comfort to a nation on the brink of collapse?

You can take a day colored by violence and disaster and turn it into a day of helping families on the other side of the world.

Please give to help displaced people today.
