Our Bibles for All Ambassadors are helping to share God’s Word all over the world. Every month, they provide Bibles to people living in poverty or facing persecution — people like Mazi.
Mazi, whose name I’ve changed to protect his identity, endures poverty and the threat of persecution every day. That’s because he lives in Nigeria, one of the most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian.
People living in countries like Nigeria often don’t have access to God’s Word
Every year, more Christ-followers are killed in Nigeria than in any other part of the world. Islamic extremists constantly threaten the livelihoods of people like Mazi, especially in the north. Mazi knew owning a Bible was dangerous, but he also knew growing in his relationship with God was worth the risk. Unfortunately, he couldn’t afford his own copy of God’s Word.
Then, thanks to our Bibles for All Ambassadors, Mazi received his first Bible! Being able to study God’s Word for himself has completely changed his life.
“As I have been reading the Bible, I have been able to see beyond just the pages and written words of the Bible,” Mazi said. “It has helped me have a closer relationship with my God.”
Now, Mazi reads his Bible all the time. He’s learning more about God and how to be courageous in the face of intense persecution, and he knows that God’s Word will sustain him through any trials he faces.
