Persecuted believers need help — physically AND spiritually

Christians in persecuted countries are hungry for God’s Word. They’re willing to risk torture, imprisonment, and even death for a copy of the Bible.

But that’s not all they need. North Korea is currently facing droughts and a worsening famine. Christians in Nigeria are experiencing food shortages and widespread displacement. Believers and others in need around the world not only hope for the comfort of Scripture … they also need lifesaving essentials like food, clean water, and more!

Every $12 you give will provide critical items such as food, clean water, God’s Word, and more for one persecuted Christian or another person in need around the world.

Your gift will be a lifeline to someone in desperate need of help and hope.

North Korea has been ranked one of the most dangerous places to follow Jesus for over 20 years. An estimated 70,000 Christ-followers are currently enslaved in labor camps.

Hindu nationalists view any other religion as a threat to their Nepali identity. Extremists say they want to make the nation “Christian-free.” Because of this, Christians in Nepal face anti-conversion laws and can face rejection from their families.

Syrian Christians are at risk because of Islamic extremist groups. Many churches have been destroyed, and those from Muslim backgrounds often face serious threats.

Muslim-background believers face intense persecution from family and friends. Pressure to convert back comes in the form of discrimination, abuse, and threats.

The rise of radical Islam in Iraq has driven many Christians to flee the country. Believers are frequently threatened, kidnapped, or even killed for their faith.

In Iran, Christians must endure job discrimination, harassment, and imprisonment. It is also illegal to share the Gospel with non-Christians. Incredibly, Iran is still home to the world’s fastest-growing underground church!

Christians face extreme pressure from their families and communities, especially if they have a Muslim background. They’re also constantly in danger of imprisonment and violence.

It is estimated that less than 5% of India’s population is Christian. Radical Hindus view these believers as outsiders that need to be removed from their country.

In many parts of Nigeria, Christianity is seen as a religion that needs to be eradicated. Muslim extremists demand that believers convert to Islam or face death. In fact, it’s estimated that over 90% of Christian deaths around the world happen in Nigeria.

Christianity is considered a threat to China’s communist regime, so Christians constantly face pressure from local authorities. Attending church is illegal for anyone under 18, and in some cases, Christian leaders are even imprisoned or abducted.

Christians who convert from Islam or come from tribal communities are often the most vulnerable to persecution. Many of these Christians experience violence or are shunned by their families.

Christians in Myanmar often face intense pressure from their families and communities. Churches and pastors across the country regularly experience violent attacks. In many areas, Christians are also barred from community life.

1. Pray. Many Christians tell us, “Don’t pray for the persecution to stop.” Instead, they ask for prayer that they will stay strong in their faith and have opportunities to share the Gospel.

2. Give. Your gift will allow our partners to secretly distribute God’s Word in some of the world’s most persecuted countries. Plus, you’ll help provide lifesaving supplies like food and clean water for believers and other people in need!
