World Help Privacy Policy
World Help appreciates you for choosing to support our organization, and because of this relationship, we are committed to respecting your privacy and security. We work hard to protect any personal information you provide to our ministry. It is important that we maintain a relationship of trust and confidence with you, our supporters. We would like to share our privacy policy with you so that you are aware of our security practices.
There are three ways we collect information from prospective donors and supporters:
- From donations or purchases made through the mail or through our website
- From people requesting information or materials from World Help
- From people participating in events hosted by World Help or a World Help donor on behalf of World Help
The information we obtain is voluntarily provided by you when choosing to support a project, sponsor a child, purchase merchandise, or request to receive information from World Help. The information you provide includes name, address, city, state, ZIP code, telephone number, and email address. If you use your credit card, the number and expiration date also will be collected.
Gathering this personal information allows us to update you on ministry projects, complete a transaction, and issue a tax receipt for donations. Your credit card information is used solely to complete the transaction and is not retained for any other purposes. Our Gift Processing office has access to these details so they can process the credit card information as well as a few trusted service providers (see our full list of service providers below).
If you use our online services, as you browse worldhelp.net, advertising cookies will be placed on your computer so we can better cater to your interests.
Securing personal information
When collecting and transferring sensitive data of our donors, including personal information and credit card details, World Help wants to ensure the security of this information. Appropriate procedures have been established to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure proper use of the information. We utilize Internet encryption technology, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol, which encrypts your information as it is entered on our website from your computer. The encrypted information reaches our office and is sent to a few trusted service providers (see list of service providers above). And all credit card information remains encrypted.

Effective use of resources
We want to assure you that all information you provide us is kept securely. In order to help locate more people like you who share your passion for rescuing people in need, we may disclose some of your mailing, phone information, and statistics such as total number and value of donations for a set period of time with select trusted third parties.
This disclosure is done very carefully to protect your personal information and ultimately allows us to expand our reach and connect with more like-minded donors to provide help and hope around the world.
