Children's Program Update
India India
While each of our children’s programs throughout India celebrated Christmas a little differently, this is an example of how a few of our Indian programs chose to celebrate last year.
On Christmas Eve, the children had a wonderful time going door to door singing Christmas carols to the neighbors in the community. Christmas morning, the boys and girls performed Christmas-themed skits, songs, and dance during the church service, all aimed to communicate the story of Jesus’ birth. It was not only a wonderful time of worship and fellowship, but the children and staff also indulged in a delicious meal together after the service.
Because of your support of the 2014 Christmas campaign, the children also received special gifts, such as clothing, shoes, towels, and bed sheets. For some of these boys and girls, it was the first Christmas gift they ever received. One child said, “The day I got my Christmas gift, it was a big surprise. I have never received such a big Christmas gift ever in my life. I thank you so much.”
Our partners are also grateful for the help you have provided. “You have made a great difference in the lives of our children. Your gifts have brought the warmth of God’s love and care during the Christmas season.”
Your prayers and support of our sponsored children in India is deeply appreciated. Thank you for investing in the lives of these boys and girls and providing them with a memorable Christmas.
- Healing Water for the Forgotten Khumsingh Bhuryia is the father of three boys with dark flashing eyes and mischievous smiles. These energetic bundles of joy and their beautiful mother are his whole world. But he spent his days fearing for them.
- The Impact of Sponsorship in Pradeep's Life This week, someone asked me to describe one thing that inspires me. I had a few moments to think about the question before answering, and my immediate thought was sponsored children around the world and their sponsors.
