Breaking the cycle of
poverty in Thailand

Places like the Bang Na Slum are where the cycle of cultural slavery often begins. Trapped by debilitating poverty, many women are forced to work in factories during the day and Thailand’s sex industry at night as the only way to keep their families alive. While they are at work, their children are left alone. Bangkok’s “invisible children,” as they are called, are often exploited for labor, sex, and criminal enterprise.

You can help provide a preschool that will serve as a preventative measure to keep these children off the streets and give them an education.

The preschool building will also serve as a place where older children can come for academic tutoring, the elderly can receive basic medical care, parents can learn about malnutrition and hygiene, and all members of the community can seek spiritual discipleship.

When you give, you bring help and hope to the people of the Bang Na Slum and show them the love of Christ.

How you can help

Help cover annual ministry costs

$25,000 annual cost includes:

• Building rental and utilities
• Teacher and staff salaries
• Educational supplies for the preschool
• Transportation to the preschool
• Medicine and medical supplies
• Essential daily needs for the elderly and impoverished families
• Food for the students and slum residents

Your impact:

You will impact nearly all of the 2,500 residents within the Bang Na Slum community.

Sponsor a child at the preschool

Your monthly gift will provide your sponsored child with educational opportunitiesfood, and medical care that his family wouldn’t be able to afford without your help. Most importantly, he or she will have the chance to learn about Jesus. You will also have the opportunity to write letters to your sponsored child.

Our goal is to match up two sponsors with each child to ensure all needs are met and that he or she will not be at risk of losing access to critical care if one sponsor must discontinue their sponsorship unexpectedly.

Your impact:

You will build a personal relationship with a child and provide him or her with essentials to break the cycle of poverty and dream of a better future.
