Samantha: A New Beginning
The California fires burned tens of thousands of acres and destroyed countless homes
For Samantha, the 2025 California fires were more than just a breaking news headline. They were real, and Samantha’s home was right in their path. After the fires swept through her neighborhood, her family lost almost everything.
In the aftermath, Samantha and her family had no idea what the future would hold. They didn’t know how they would go on.
Thankfully, world changers like you provided immediate relief for Samantha and others affected by these devastating fires. She received lifesaving supplies like food, clean water, hygiene items, and more.

Doug & Pam: Hope for the Future
After Hurricane Helene, Doug and Pam’s home was heavily damaged
Doug and Pam were asleep in their home near Asheville, N.C., when they were jolted awake by the roaring winds and torrential rains of Hurricane Helene. When the storm finally ended, they surveyed the damage — and it was devastating.
Their home had been destroyed by fallen trees, and their yard was littered with debris. Following the storm, Doug and Pam had nowhere to stay and no way to access essentials.
But that’s when the World Help family stepped in, providing Doug and Pam with nutritious food, temporary shelter, and other emergency relief.

Now, they are looking forward to a brighter tomorrow as they begin rebuilding their home.
“As of today, we are in the rebuilding phase of our adventure, and as slow and arduous as this is, we are making headway and progressing to start over again and count our many blessings,” they said.

Dvora: “Thank you for helping us and standing with us”
The ongoing war in the Holy Land has upended countless lives
When Hamas attacked Israel in October 2023, Dvora’s* church in Bethlehem was one of the first to respond following the crisis. She worked with other church members to distribute essentials to people who had been pushed into poverty.
But after Dvora and her husband both lost their jobs because of the war, they too faced sudden poverty.
Without any income, they had no idea how they would survive. They didn’t even know how they would afford food. But she knew the Lord would find a way to provide for her.
Dvora and her family received lifesaving supplies because of world changers like you!
Thankfully, God used faithful supporters like you to provide essentials like food, blankets, flashlights, and more for Dvora and other members of her community, distributed through the local Christian church.
“Thank you for helping us and standing with us,” Dvora said.

Joshua: “So much joy”
Wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui consumed most of the Lahaina community
In August 2023, Joshua and his family lost everything in the Maui wildfires — their home, belongings, and livelihoods. On the day the wildfires reached their neighborhood, they had to walk over four miles to a hotel a safe distance away as their house went up in flames.
But then, because of World Help supporters like you, Joshua and his family found relief at our partner’s church. There, they received lifesaving aid like food, water, shelter, and more. Joshua was so grateful to have a safe place to stay and fresh clothes to wear.
And despite their immense losses, Joshua and his family focused their energy on helping others, playing a part in cooking food and distributing over 65,000 hot meals to people in need.

Turkey Partner: “We are serving hot drinks and warm food”
A historic earthquake left hundreds of thousands of people without homes in Turkey and Syria
On the morning of Feb. 27, 2023, millions of people in Turkey and northern Syria were awoken by the strongest earthquake to hit the region in decades. The 7.8 magnitude tremor collapsed over 200,000 buildings, leaving countless men, women, and children homeless.
In the aftermath, victims desperately needed food. Grocery stores and gas stations were robbed, and the unsanitary conditions in the city made what was left unsafe to eat.

But thanks to World Help supporters, our partners working in Turkey were able to serve bread and hot meals to survivors in one of the cities affected by the earthquake. It was a lifeline to people who had gone days without food!
“They come and ask for snacks, and we’re just trying to cover their needs — their hunger, their thirst,” they said. “We are serving hot drinks and warm food.”
Because of the World Help family, people in Turkey and Syria had access to hot meals and other lifesaving supplies. Thank you for providing them with hope and determination to press on as they rebuilt their lives.
