As war wages on in Ukraine, countless refugees and displaced people still go without essentials like food, water, and clothing. Meanwhile, citizens in Afghanistan continue to endure deplorable living conditions and a worsening food crisis.
But thankfully, you helped provide much-needed emergency supplies to refugees and displaced people from Ukraine and Afghanistan. Your support also helped Ukrainian children receive trauma counseling and a continuing education!
Helped people affected by the conflict in northeast India …
Displaced people in India now have what they need to survive
Though it hasn’t been on the news, violent ethnic clashes in India have displaced hundreds of people. Many have lost their homes and belongings. Some have even lost loved ones.
But because of your generosity, displaced families have received housing and food supplies like potatoes, beans, and cooking oil. You’ve helped them stay safe while giving them hope for a brighter future.
Shipped clothing and other lifesaving aid overseas …
Your support helped ship essentials worldwide!
Thanks to the World Help family, seven containers of lifesaving aid were recently shipped to countries like Honduras, Moldova, Peru, Rwanda, and Zambia. The items in these containers were valued at almost $1.9 million and will impact an estimated 80,000 people!
Ukrainian refugees in Moldova were excited to receive new clothing in one of these containers. One family of three siblings received brand-new hats for the coming winter.
“[We are] so happy we received these clothes and new hats!” one of them said. “When we wear them, people will know we are siblings, and that makes me proud. Our other hats were very old and worn out, so I can’t wait to wear these new ones when it gets colder.”
Provided clean water worldwide …
Thousands of people no longer have to worry about getting clean water!
10 water projects were recently completed in India, Peru, and Zambia, bringing clean water to 6,500 people! That means they no longer must walk long distances to gather contaminated water or risk contracting deadly waterborne diseases. They can get fresh water right in their communities. What a blessing!
Spread the Gospel in South Asia …
The Good News of Jesus Christ continues to spread eternal joy throughout South Asia!
Despite increasing persecution across South Asia, the Gospel continues to change lives everywhere it goes. Recently, 10 new Christ-followers from two different church congregations were baptized!
There is no better gift than the hope of Christ. Thank you for your part in spreading the Gospel to unreached people in every corner of the world!
… and celebrated with vocational school graduates in Uganda!
Graduates in Uganda have the tools they need to pursue a bright future!
With the help of generous people like you, 150 students recently graduated from a vocational school in Uganda. Students received training in either tailoring, cosmetology, or welding. Each graduate was also gifted a toolkit that will allow them to start their own business. Now, they can build a future while caring and providing for their families!
