“Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’”
– John 4:13-14 (NIV)
The desert. It’s one of the harshest, most difficult to survive environments on our planet.
So dry … so dusty … so hot.
If there’s one thing a person must absolutely have in order to survive in the desert, it’s water. Humans can only last about 100 hours without water under normal conditions. And in the desert, under the constantly blazing hot sun, that number gets a lot smaller.
Without water, there is no way a person in the desert can keep going.
In the same way, people living in “Bible deserts” — places where God’s Word is illegal or extremely difficult to find — have no way to thrive and grow spiritually without the Living Water.
But YOU can be the one to finally share God’s Word with them. All you have to do is become a Bibles for All Ambassador.
Each month, your gift of $25 will provide five people around the world with their first Bible. By the end of 2021, over 60 people will have received the Scriptures because of your giving. And since the recipients of your Bibles will likely share their copies with family and friends, you’ll make an even greater impact than you could imagine every month!
One of our partners in Nigeria recently wrote about why he prays often for more Bibles in his country:
“I have personally seen the great need and importance for us not only to get to these people material food and clothing, but also a spiritual meal. We ought to bring the Bible, the Word of God to them as well.”
2021 will be a pivotal year for our world. People are still reeling from the pandemic and the natural disasters of 2020. Christian persecution is on the rise worldwide. And many families are fearful about what the next 12 months will bring.
By joining Bibles for All, you can give five people each month the greatest source of comfort of all — God’s Word.
Your monthly gift will strengthen suffering Christians, nurture new believers, and help seekers learn about Jesus for the first time.
Take Valencia for example. We’ve changed her name because she lives in a strict Hindu community in South Asia.
Valencia lives with her husband and two children. For many years, she suffered from an illness she couldn’t seem to recover from. Then, one day, our partner prayed for her. Soon, Valencia was better. Curious about the Jesus who healed her, Valencia asked for a Bible. But there were no Bibles to give her.
That’s why your involvement in Bibles for All is so important! You can help make sure Bibles are available when people like Valencia ask for them.
Every month, you will send five Bibles — precious sources of the Living Water — to people like Valencia who are spiritually parched for the Word of God.
