Vocational Training Programs
Millions of children in sub-Saharan Africa have been abandoned by AIDS, raised to adulthood in child-headed households or on the streets. For others, their childhoods were brutally stolen from them by Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army.
Stripped of love, stability, and education, this generation is now fighting just to survive . . . while raising their own children. World Help believes vocational training is one of the most effective ways to empower these young adults and single parents devastated by poverty, war, and disease. It equips them with the education and tools they need to lead their own small businesses or participate in cooperatives.
