Children's Program Update
Honduras Honduras
More than 400 sponsored children were surprised with a special Christmas party this year. Many of these children had never experienced a Christmas celebration before, so it was an unforgettable experience for them.
The boys and girls sang songs, read poems, and learned about the birth of Jesus. They participated in arts and crafts and played some of their favorite games. The children also enjoyed a delicious meal of local delicacies and fruits, which they do not have on a regular basis. Afterwards, they took turns playing with the piñata, excitedly awaiting the sweets hidden inside to pour out once it finally broke.
Additionally, the children were each given special gifts, such as new clothes and shoes. This was an unexpected treat for them because they often do not receive such lovely gifts.
We cannot thank you enough for your continued support and love for these children. Because of you, our sponsored children in Honduras were able to experience a wonderful Christmas . . . one they will remember for years to come. Thank you for investing in something that will outlive you and last for eternity.
- Why I decided to Sponsor a Child Multiple pictures of a 4-year-old little girl with her red school uniform on and bows in her hair are proudly displayed throughout our home. Pictures of a 9-year-old boy with a big grin on his face and an earring in his left ear are hanging right next to hers.
- Why Investing in Global Education Matters The moment a sponsor decides to support a child for $35 a month, everything begins to change. In an instant, a child without a stable way of accessing nutritious food, clean water, medical attention, education, and spiritual enrichment now has the ability at her fingertips.
- Child Sponsorship | Part of the Family Flipping through the pages of the black photo album with colorful pages full of pictures, there was one in particular that stood out. In the midst of numerous family photos from tropical vacations was one of a sweet young boy with a half-smile and big brown eyes.
