Karen is a shy and thoughtful girl who enjoys working on puzzles and coloring with her friends. Though it takes her a little time to warm up to new people, she has a kind heart and hopes to become a nurse one day so she can care for others in need.
Life has not been easy for Karen. Her father works long hours as a driver but earns very little for his labor, and her mother tries to supplement their income through housework. Despite their efforts, the family’s income is often not enough to cover their daily needs. Sponsorship will provide Karen with things like nutritious meals and a quality education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
