Yordin is a friendly and energetic boy who loves riding his bike and playing with his friends. He looks forward to school each day, and his favorite subject is math, where he enjoys solving problems and learning new things. When he grows up, Yordin hopes to become a mechanic so he can use his skills to build and repair.
Yordin is no stranger to poverty. His father works long hours in the fields, but his wages are very small and not enough to meet the family’s needs. His mother takes on odd jobs whenever she can find them, but their combined income is still not sufficient to provide for Yordin’s daily essentials. Sponsorship will provide Yordin with things like nutritious meals and a quality education.

Receive your welcome packet in the mail with more info on your child
Continue giving monthly or annually to meet your child's needs and write letters to stay in touch

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
