Meet J. Ida Shopia Scudder

ID: INDFHP191

J. Ida is known to be a happy and helpful young girl. In her free time, she can often be found singing and dancing as she goes about her day. Although J. Ida is young, she is involved in school and she is doing very well in all of her classes. One day, she dreams of becoming a doctor so she can help those who are sick and hurting. J. Ida's father is a minister to the local community, so she has had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home. However, her family is not without struggles. Her father's job simply doesn't pay well and the family often has a hard time affording basic essentials. Sponsorship gives J. Ida access to things like basic medical care and school supplies.

“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”

— Lita, Kentucky

“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”

— Kayla, Virginia

“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”

— Margaret, California
