Shahil is a shy young boy who prefers to play alone or with a small group of friends. As he is working diligently to earn good grades in school, he particularly enjoys learning the Nepali language. With great determination, Shahil dreams of one day becoming a teacher with a classroom of his own. Shahil comes from a very poor family. His father searches daily for odd jobs in order to earn a meager income, but he frequently does not earn a consistent income. Since his mother must stay at home to take care of her son and household responsibilities, she is unable to help financially. Through sponsorship, Shahil will receive things like durable clothing and a continuing education.

How Sponsorship Works
Choose a child to sponsor from the country of your choice
Receive your welcome packet in the mail with more info on your child
Continue giving monthly or annually to meet your child's needs and write letters to stay in touch
Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
