Khusi is a shy young girl with a humble personality. In her free time, she loves to release built up energy by singing and dancing with her friends. Doing her best to earn good grades in school, she enjoys learning new things and hopes to one day help other children learn by becoming a teacher in her village. Poverty has been a constant companion in Khusi's life. Her parents find it difficult to earn a reliable income, so it is a constant struggle to provide basic essentials for their family. Through sponsorship, Khusi will receive things like school uniforms and a continuing education.

About Nepal
The South Asian country of Nepal is a small nation landlocked between China and India. Flat plains, rolling hills, and the Himalayan mountain range give the country a diverse terrain that includes eight of the ten highest mountain peaks in the world.
Many in Nepal are still reeling from the effects of two devastating earthquakes that rocked the country in April and May 2015. An estimated 21,000 people were injured and more than 8,000 perished.
Nepal is one of the world’s poorest countries with over 40 percent of rural residents living below the national poverty line. These families struggle with insufficient infrastructure and limited access to medical care and proper sanitation.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
