Lezlie is a shy, quiet girl who spends most of her time playing with her twin sister. They especially like to play volleyball together. Lezlie is a fast learner and looks forward to her math class each day when she arrives at school. When she grows up, she would like to become a teacher so she can share her passion for learning with other children. Lezlie lives in a tiny, one-bedroom house with her sister and parents. They have to make sacrifices each day just to be able to afford food. Her father works as a conductor on a Jeepney, a type of bus popular in the Philippines, but he barely makes enough to keep the family alive.
