Meet Wasswa

ID: UGAGSS3108

Wasswa is an athletic and energetic young boy who loves to play soccer with his friends. Eager to learn new things, he studies diligently to earn good grades, and he excels in his art class. With great determination, Wasswa hopes to become a successful engineer in the future. Wasswa lives with his parents and siblings in an impoverished village in Uganda. Even though his parents work hard each day, their income is often insufficient for the most basic essentials. They want to see their son fulfill his dreams, but they cannot provide him with the education he needs to succeed. Through sponsorship, Wasswa will receive things like nutritious meals, durable clothing, and a continuing education.

“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”

— Lita, Kentucky

“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”

— Kayla, Virginia

“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”

— Margaret, California
