Yom is an active girl who loves playing with dolls and make-believe games with her friends. She enjoys going to school, and her favorite subject is English, where she works hard to improve her skills. With a caring heart, Yom dreams of becoming a nurse one day so she can help the sick and hurting in her community.
Yom has faced many challenges at home. She comes from a large family with nine siblings, and her parents struggled to provide for them all. Yom went to live with her uncle, but when war broke out in their community, they were forced to move to an internal displacement camp where every day was a struggle to survive. Sponsorship will provide Yom with things like nutritious meals and a quality education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
