James is a sweet, extroverted young boy who can bring a smile to anyone?s face. As he is just starting to go to school, he finds that English is his favorite subject to study. After school, James enjoys practicing his soccer skills outside and play with his friends. With a love for education and learning, he dreams of becoming a school teacher when he grows up. James? parents work diligently to provide for their family, but do not have a reliable or sufficient source of income in their village. Because of this, James often goes without his daily needs. Through sponsorship, James will now receive things like nutritious meals and a continuing education.

How Sponsorship Works
![](/wp-content/themes/worldhelp/images/csp/step-one.png)
Choose a child to sponsor from the country of your choice
![](/wp-content/themes/worldhelp/images/csp/step-two.png)
Receive your welcome packet in the mail with more info on your child

Continue giving monthly or annually to meet your child's needs and write letters to stay in touch
Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
