Faruk is an active and energetic boy who loves to play soccer with his friends. He is working hard to learn all that he can in school, and his favorite subject is math. Faruk has big dreams of joining the army someday so he can help people to learn more about the world.
Faruk is no stranger to poverty. Both his parents cultivate, harvest, and sell crops on a small plot of land nearby. But despite their hard work, the meager income they earn often isn’t enough to make ends meet, leaving Faruk without his most basic necessities.
