Alvine is a quiet, humble boy most of the time, but he comes out of his shell when he gets to ride his bike. He enjoys going to school each day and especially likes his English class. Alvine has a courageous heart and hopes to protect his community as a police officer when he grows up.
Alvine’s parents work long, hard hours on a farm, but they earn very little money and can only bring home a small amount of food to eat. It’s a constant struggle to provide for Alvine’s daily needs and afford his education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
