Children's Program Update
Nepal Nepal
While each of our children’s programs throughout Nepal celebrated Christmas a little differently, this is an example of how a few of our Nepali programs chose to celebrate last year.
The festivities began Christmas Eve, as the children gathered to enjoy Christmas caroling throughout the community. This gave them the opportunity to spread the good news of Jesus’ birth to the surrounding areas through the songs they sang. It was a memorable time demonstrating the love of Christ to their neighbors during the holiday season.
On Christmas day, the children presented a song and dance for members of the community and church congregations. The happiness radiating from these children as they sang songs of Jesus was evident to all in attendance. The children then enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party playing games, eating delicious foods, and listening to the story of Jesus’ birth.
The boys and girls were also surprised with a special gift on Christmas day, specifically chosen for them based on their needs and individual interests. They were so grateful to have received their very own Christmas gift. “Thank you for making our Christmas so memorable,” said our partner in Nepal.
These children experienced a Christmas celebration they will never forget. Thank you for your continued support for these boys and girls whose lives have been forever changed through sponsorship. We cannot thank you enough for your special gifts during one of the most joyous times of the year.
- To the Ends of the Earth World Help church planters in Nepal are taking the Gospel where it has never been heard . . . where less than 2 percent of the population considers themselves Christian. It is one of the least-reached nations in the world . . . but God is moving.
- Three Reasons Why Child Sponsorship Matters I believe that sponsorship is one of the most important outreaches we do here at World Help. Over the years, God has allowed us to impact the lives of thousands of children with the love of Christ through partnering with sponsors to provide for their physical and spiritual needs.
- Child Sponsorship: A Part of the Family Flipping through the pages of the black photo album with colorful pages full of pictures, there was one in particular that stood out. In the midst of numerous family photos from tropical vacations was one of a sweet young boy with a half-smile and big brown eyes.
