Small gift ideas to show BIG love to your sponsored child

Good things come in small packages, right?

As you purchase Valentine’s Day cards and chocolates for your loved ones, don’t forget to pick up a little something extra for your sponsored child, too. Everyone loves receiving gifts and feeling special, and your sponsored child is no different!

All you have to do is grab a 6×9-inch envelope and fill it with some small, inexpensive gifts that your sponsored child would enjoy.

Not sure what items to include? Here are a few gift ideas to get you started:

Small toys

You can’t go wrong with including a few toys. Just make sure they are flat and small enough to fit inside your envelope, such as:

– Small puzzles

– Paper airplanes

– Paper dolls

– A keychain

Art supplies

Children often spend hours drawing and coloring. So, why not give the budding artist in your life some art supplies to express their creativity? You could include:

– A coloring book

– A small notepad

– Colored pencils

– A sleeve of stickers

Handmade items

Maybe you’ve got a crafty side yourself. If so, try making something special for your sponsored child. This is the perfect opportunity to gather your kids or grandkids and get them involved, too! Consider sending:

– Friendship bracelets

– Paintings

– Drawings

– Origami creations

Letters

A handwritten note is one of the best ways to show your sponsored child how much you care. Whether you share a Bible verse, a prayer, or simply talk about your family, he or she will love hearing from you.

Photos

Finally, it’s always a great idea to include a family photo and even a picture of your furry friend. This helps your sponsored child put a face to your name and allows them to feel even closer to you. Just make sure you talk about the photos in your letter so they can learn more about you and your family.

These simple gifts may not seem like a big deal to us, but they will put a big smile on your sponsored child’s face.

Just keep in mind that there are a few items your sponsored child can’t receive, such as jewelry, electronics, and cash. Click here for more information to ensure your sponsored child receives your gift without delay.

After you’ve filled your envelope, mail it to:

And that’s it!

That’s all it takes to show your sponsored child some extra love this February.
