Maria is a kind and loving girl who enjoys drawing pictures with her friends. She works hard in school and especially enjoys science, where she likes learning about how the world works. With a compassionate heart, Maria dreams of becoming a teacher one day so she can pass on her love of learning to others.
Maria has grown up in difficult circumstances. She is the youngest of three children, and although both of her parents work in a local market, their income is small and inconsistent. Most days, it is not enough to meet Maria’s daily needs. Sponsorship will provide Maria with things like nutritious meals and a quality education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
