Hellen is an outgoing and joyful girl who enjoys singing and dancing with her friends. She looks forward to school each day and works hard in her classes. Her favorite subject is language arts, where she loves learning to read and write. When she grows up, Hellen dreams of becoming a teacher so she can share her love of learning with others.
Hellen has endured hardship for as long as she can remember. Her father works as a butcher, and her mother takes on odd jobs as a housekeeper, but their income is very small and not enough to provide for the family’s daily needs.
