Appu can be quiet and shy at times, but he has a bright smile and loves to play with his friends. One of his favorite games to play is volleyball. He is a smart boy who loves to learn about all different subjects in school and who wants to join the army one day so he can help keep people safe. Several years ago, Appu's father was killed in a car accident, which left his family without any source of income. His mother worked hard to provide for her children, but she often could not afford their most basic needs and was forced to take them to a nearby children's home where they could be properly cared for. Sponsorship will provide Appu with things like nutritious food, durable clothing, and a quality education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
