Sumitra is a sweet and active little girl who can often be found dancing to her favorite tunes or playing volleyball with her friends in her free time. She loves attending school and her favorite subject is her science class. Hoping to help others when she is older, Sumitra wants to become a doctor.
Sumitra’s father died of jaundice and her mother is struggling to provide for the three children alone. She earns a meager and inconsistent income as a farmer, and she cannot provide for Sumitra. Sadly, she has had to send her daughter to an orphanage so she can be properly cared for. Through sponsorship, Sumitra will receive things like healthy meals, basic medical care, and a continuing education.

How Sponsorship Works
Choose a child to sponsor from the country of your choice
Receive your welcome packet in the mail with more info on your child
Continue giving monthly or annually to meet your child's needs and write letters to stay in touch

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
