We like to keep you updated about what your sponsored child and other kids in the program have been up to over the past year… all because of your compassionate giving. And since the holiday season is not too far away, we thought you’d like to know how your support made Christmas extra magical for your sponsored child last year.

A Christmas packed with fun

The first week of December was a busy one for the students and teachers alike. The students worked hard perfecting the songs for their Christmas program. Some students were even selected to sing and play at a special youth event in Myanmar’s largest city. However, they still found time to help their teachers decorate the church and plant flowers in the gardens so the campus would look nice for the Christmas Eve service.

The children hosted a carol sing-a-long a week before Christmas for the entire community. During the celebration, the kids received school uniforms and shoes as Christmas gifts.

Finally, the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services arrived, and the children were excited to hear from a special guest speaker. Afterward, they enjoyed a festive meal of pork and chicken curry with rice, which was prepared by teachers at the school.

The celebrating didn’t end there, though. The following week, the children spent New Year’s Eve playing games and exchanging gifts with their friends.
