Maria is an active, high-spirited young girl who loves to play with her friends. At home, she helps her mother out by running errands, and she can often be found singing. Maria loves clothing, and one day she hopes to work in the fashion industry. Maria has lived with her adoptive parents since she was four months old. Her father works as an ambulance driver at a private clinic, and her mother makes and sells candy at home. Though they work hard, Marias parents often have difficulty providing for extra costs like school fees or healthy food. Sponsorship will now provide Maria with things like nutritious meals and educational assistance.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
