Japhet is a friendly young boy who loves to talk with anyone he meets. He spends his days in nursery school, where he loves to sit and learn new rhymes. Japhet has an energetic personality and likes to play games with his friends. Japhets life has been full of tragedy. When he was still a baby, his father was shot and killed by political insurgents. His mother is illiterate and cannot find stable, well-paid work. Japhets grandparents are trying to support his family, but they are elderly and cannot make ends meet. Sponsorship now gives Japhet access to things like a quality education and nutritious meals.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
