Shivani is a kindhearted girl who can often be found playing basketball with her friends. A diligent student, she works hard to earn good grades and especially enjoys her math class. Shivani dreams of becoming a doctor one day so she can help sick people feel better.
Shivani has grown up in a poor, crowded settlement of snake charmers and street performers. Since these sideshow acts are not as popular as they used to be, her parents must beg or work difficult labor jobs that pay very little. Often, Shivani goes without her basic needs.
