Meet Ranu

ID: INDYNM129

Ranu is an intelligent and naturally curious little girl. Although her parents cannot afford to send her to school, she takes advantage of every opportunity to learn, whether from her older brother or from the other adults in her neighborhood. Ranu hopes to become a police officer when she grows up so she can help keep people safe. Ranu has grown up in a crowded slum that is inhabited by the members of India?s lowest social castes. Her parents do their best to provide for her by working labor jobs whenever possible, but they rarely make enough to afford everything they need. Sponsorship gives Ranu access to things like medical care, nutritious food, and educational assistance.

“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”

— Lita, Kentucky

“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”

— Kayla, Virginia

“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”

— Margaret, California
