In just a few weeks, over 3 million people have fled from the war in Ukraine. Now, they have nowhere to go and are in desperate need of things like food, clothing, mattresses, medical care, and more. Millions are displaced both in and outside of Ukraine … and the window of opportunity to help them may be closing.
The U.N. reported that hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have already been cut off from aid as Russia overtakes cities. If this trend continues, it will create an even more urgent situation for displaced Ukrainians. With bare shelves, empty gas stations, and no safe escape routes, many families may be stuck without help in Russian-occupied areas.
World Help’s partners serving refugees continue to describe an escalating need for food, mattresses, warm clothing, and medical care. They worry about what will happen if aid is cut off from those who need it most. Relief efforts are ongoing, but it’s critical to help as much as possible while we still can.
